Chartered Management Institute Qualifications

As an approved Chartered Management Institute Centre, we support candidates through workshops, group training programmes, one to one coaching sessions, use of workbooks and handouts as well as access to the OPAL Online Resource Centre to achieve management qualifications.
Broadly speaking:
- Team Leading qualifications are designed for people who either currently lead - or aspire to lead - a team which provides services or produces goods
- Certificate in Management qualifications are designed for practising and aspiring first line managers wishing to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to develop their career in management
- Diploma in Management qualifications are designed to meet the needs of middle managers wishing to cement their career in management
- Executive Management qualifications build upon the past strategic or operational knowledge and experience of managers

The Introductory qualifications have been developed to give managers an introduction to each stage of management within an organisation. Whilst each can be taken as a recognised qualification in its own right, they can also be taken as a stepping stone to one of the following corresponding full Certificates or Diplomas:

NVQ's
National Vocational Qualifications are competence based qualifications. This means it is linked to the candidate's ability to competently perform a range of tasks connected with their work. Candidates plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable in their work role.
The OPAL NVQ qualification is very flexible in its structure enabling the organisation and the individual to choose the optional units that best suit their work situation and job role.
